Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers among men. Fortunately, many cases are slow-growing and highly treatable when caught early.

Regular PSA tests and digital rectal exams are crucial for early detection

Treatment options depend on cancer's stage and overall health

Personalized care plans to ensure best outcomes

Diagnostic Methods:

  • PSA blood testing
  • Digital rectal exam (DRE)
  • Prostate biopsy (ultrasound-guided)

Treatment Options:

  • Active Surveillance
  • Surgery (Radical Prostatectomy)
  • Hormone Therapy
  • Immunotherapy

Available Medications:

  • Trelstar®
  • Lupron®
  • Eligard®
  • Firmagon®

Bladder Cancer

Bladder Cancer
Bladder cancer often begins in the lining of the bladder and is typically detected early due to symptoms like blood in the urine.

How We Diagnose:

Cystoscopy (a visual inspection of the bladder)

Urine cytology

Bladder biopsy

Treatment Options:

Surgery: Depending on the stage, this may include transurethral resection (TURBT) or, in more advanced cases, partial or complete bladder removal.

Intravesical Therapy (BCG): Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) is a form of immunotherapy delivered directly into the bladder to help treat non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer and reduce recurrence.

Regular follow-up care is essential after bladder cancer treatment. We focus on bladder preservation whenever possible and provide ongoing surveillance to monitor for recurrence.

Kidney Cancer

Kidney cancer, most often renal cell carcinoma, often has no symptoms in its early stages. It is commonly discovered during imaging done for unrelated reasons. Early detection is key to effective treatment.

How We Diagnose:

Imaging studies such as CT or MRI scans

Urinalysis

Kidney biopsy (if necessary)

Treatment Options:

Surgery (Nephrectomy): The primary treatment for kidney cancer is surgical removal of the tumor. Depending on the case, we may perform:

Partial Nephrectomy: Removing only the tumor and preserving healthy kidney tissue

Radical Nephrectomy: Removing the entire kidney if the cancer is more advanced

For localized tumors, surgery often results in a cure. We use minimally invasive techniques whenever appropriate to reduce recovery time and preserve kidney function.

Early detection and treatment are crucial for better outcomes. Contact us today to schedule a consultation with our experienced urologic oncologists.
